Udupi: In the event of the 80th anniversary of Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji’s Sanyasa Deeksha the president of India Ramanath Kovind visited Pejawar Math Udupi and felicitated the Swamiji on December 27
The president proceed directly to the Pejawar Math and arrived at the Adi-Udupi Helipad. The Temple Diwan Raghurama Acharya welcomed the president .
The Pejawar Swamiji felicitated the president and his wife with Krishna Idol, Hatte Prabhavali along with the Yakashagana Kireeta. The Swamiji also gave 12 novels that were composed by Pejawar Swamiji. The Swamiji felicitated Savitha Kovind using a Shankerpura and Saree Jasmine. The President viewed the history video of the Pejawar Math.
President Kovind enquired about the health of Pejawar Swamiji and asked him to guide the society. He also expressed joy for seeing with the Pejawar Math.
Talking on the occasion Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math said,”Now the nation’s first citizen Kovind has came here and it’s made me very happy. The Pejawar Math will begin the Madhwacharya University at Pajaka and work has already started”. The Swamiji asked the support of the president for its Upcoming Madhwacharya University.
Later President Ramanath Kovind seen Sri Krishna Math in which the Diwan of the Paryaya Palimar Math welcomed the president. The President and his wife Savitha Kovind made a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna and searched the blessings of Sri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Palimar Math. The Palimar Swamiji honoured the President and his spouse with a huge Lord Krishna Idol.
Udupi was left by the president to Mangaluru International Airport in 12:50 pm by the Adi-Udupi helipad.
